The way we breathe strongly affects the chemical and physiological activities happening in our bodies. Wim Hof breathing focuses on deep and rhythmic inhalations and exhalations of the breath, followed by holding our breath for an amount of time. This method induces a voluntary short stress response in the body, which ultimately will lead to more resilience towards everyday stress and mentally and physiology feeling in control.
When we breathe in, we take up oxygen and release carbon dioxide from our blood. Deep breathing releases more carbon dioxide from our blood, triggering our brain to breathe less. This effectively lowers the pH level of the blood. This type of breathing can lead to many of the following benefits:
- Allows you to take control of your autonomic nervous system and reduce stress
- Increases oxygen flow to your brain, resulting in an increase in alertness and concentration
- Improve heart health and improve your blood circulation
- Increases your ability to breath and hold your breath in everyday life
- Leads to the production of ‘feel-good hormones’ such as dopamine and serotonin, thus improving mood
During these unprecedented times, practicing Wim Hof breathing is a great way to reduce any outside stressors and put you in a great mindset to tackle the day.
Please Note: In order to particiapte in this class it is recommended that you bring one or more of the following.
1. Foam Roller
2. Lacrosse Ball / Spiky Ball or Tennis Ball
3. Theracane / Bak Balls
Fascia is the fibrous tissue surrounding each of our muscle fibres, organs, nerves and bones. Fascia attaches to tendons and bones to help us move. Poor movement patterns, injury and being sedentary can cause ‘knots’, or ‘trigger points’ in our fascia, restricting our movement and causing pain or stiffness. Self myofascial release with objects such as a foam roller or massage ball facilitate the ‘breaking up’ these knots in the fascia, allowing the muscles to relax and become more mobile. This technique also improves blood flow to the area, improving the hydration of the fascia and allowing it to become more malleable. If done alongside corrective exercise, this will allow for re-tensioning of the muscles in the body in order to create more functional movement patterns.
Benefits of myofascial release include:
- Increases joint range of motion, without effecting muscle performance in the way that stretching can
- Helps prevents injury
- Reduces stiffness
- Helps muscle recovery and prevent DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) after exercise
- Helps us to move better
- Reduces stress

Core & Posture Class
Never underestimate the power of a strong core and good posture. Our Core and Posture Classes are designed to strengthen the muscles that help keep you in a strong upright position, and to help you function better during everyday activities through more efficient movement.
Join our class today and reap the following benefits:
- Improved bone and joint alignment, allowing muscles to be used more efficiently
- Decrease stress on the joints, including the spine
- Prevention of back and muscular pain
- Improved balance
- Prevention of injuries
- Improved athletic performance
Our Functional Circuit class incorporates exercises that you can do anywhere in your own home. We begin with activation and warm-up exercises to get your blood flowing and your body used to moving. We then incorporate a series of functional exercises to strengthen your core, upper and lower body. We don’t work muscles in isolation, but rather exercise your whole body as a kinetic chain. This ensures your body moves in the way it was designed to, and that we strengthen you up in movements that you will mimic during daily activities.
This circuit is designed to help you function and move better in everyday life.
